Susan Apassingok was born and raised in Gambell by her parents Mike and Debbie Apatiki. Susan was traditionally given away to Daniel Apassingok at the age of 17 and is married to him since then. Susan’s family lives a traditional subsistence lifestyle and continues camping and harvesting with family all year round. Susan was a producer

For One with the Whale and was on Life Below Zero First Alaskans with her family. Susan is a stay at home mom and loves taking care of her grandchildren. Susan loves serving her native people and encourages everyone to get out the native vote so our voices can be heard.
