Autumn Cantu, BSW.
Autumn Cantu, Koyukon Athabascan, originally from Ruby, Alaska, is deeply rooted in her community and dedicated to making a meaningful impact. Outside of her professional pursuits, she cherishes spending time with her family outdoors and is an avid reader. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, she is preparing to pursue a Master’s degree in the same field. Autumn's career reflects a robust background in training staff, cultivating client relationships, and strategic planning. As the owner of Cantu Tactics & Consulting (CTC) and currently serving as MMIWG2S Communications and Graphic Designer at Native Movement, she leverages her expertise to drive effective communication strategies. Autumn's previous roles include Rural Outreach Specialist at The Mobilization Center, Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor Technician, Strategic Prevention Framework Partnerships for Success Project Director, and Suicide Prevention Coordinator at Tanana Chiefs Conference (TCC). She also served as a Youth Wellness Coordinator at Recover Alaska. She gained valuable experience as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant (CNA) at the Yukon Koyukuk Elder Assisted Living Facility (YKEALF) in Galena, Alaska. Throughout her career, Autumn has forged numerous partnerships and demonstrated resilience in advocating for civic engagement, promoting healthy social norms, advocating for protecting Indigenous ways of life, ensuring community cohesion, and inspiring future generations.
