(TEMP) Rural & Indigenous Outreach (RIO) Specialist Positions

Rolling Start/Dates of Work: Sept 23 - November 10, 2024

Location: Remote Position & Occasional Funded Travel (Must currently reside in Alaska)

Schedule: Part or Full Time & Rural Travel (Depending on your availability)

Salary: $26.50 an hour

  • Position Overview:

    RIO Specialists will work with the RIO Program Director to interact with Alaskans on key conservation, human rights, and government and democracy issues facing Alaskans and maintain relationships with action-takers to sustain support. Conversations will take place over the phone, and they can be made from the comfort of your own home, with occasional travel.

    Our goal is to identify and activate Alaskan voters on various campaigns that protect the resources that sustain our cultures and way of life and maintain the health and well-being of the greater community.

    This is an entry-level position. 

    • This is a fixed salary of $26.50 an hour.

    • Work hours will be between 10 AM and 7 PM, Monday - Friday, and are subject to change. 

    General Duties:

    • Make phone calls to identify and engage voters to take action on key issues affecting Alaskans' way of life.

    • Engage with the public over the phone and have opportunities to table in person at events.

    • Record accurate data, and work with your supervisor and teammates to ensure quality data is recorded.

    • Comply with procedures and policies outlined by The Mobilization Center Employee Manual and The Mobilization Center Employee Handbook.

    • Ensure that confidentiality is respected and maintained at all times.

    • Perform any other duty as directed by the RIO Program Director.
